Getting Back to Buisness- Ohio Child Portrait Session

After taking several months off to prepare to become a mom or four and then love on that sweet baby, I am back to business.  It felt oh so good to get behind the camera, even if it was just for my own 6 year olds session.  I can’t wait to start shooting for my real clients starting next week.

I have to say of my children my oldest has been my most difficult when it comes to taking pictures, but I think I am finally figuring him out.  As a mom I get so frustrated when he just doesn’t cooperate (I am sure most of you moms can agree).  Usually when I get an uncooperative kid, I just keep my cool, but for some reason with my own little ones I lose my stuff.  Not this time though (well maybe once).  Here is the deal, he wants it to be fun,  I let him make a few silly faces and he will give me what I want.  That’s what I do in my clients sessions, but for some reason with my own kids I forget to make it fun.  I just want to get it done and move on, where with my clients I take my time and try to let the little ones have some fun.

  1. The one where he is looking down and leaning on the fence is so precious, those moments don’t last long.
